On the afternoon of March 25, Cheng Yu, person-in-charge of the International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Hefei) (hereinafter referred to as the Center), led a delegation to Hefei University of Technology for exchange talks. Wang Meng, President of the University, and Hong Richang, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the forum.

On behalf of the university, Wang Meng extended a warm welcome to Cheng Yu and his entourage. He pointed out that the low-altitude economy serves as an important pillar for developing new quality productive forces and a key direction for the university’s layout in future emerging industries. Wang Meng introduced the university’s disciplinary layout and talent team development in the field of low-altitude economy. He stated that rooted in Hefei and serving Anhui Province, the university will deepen practical cooperation with the Center, promote resource integration and complementary advantages, and support Hefei in building a low-altitude economic industrial cluster.

Cheng Yu introduced the functional positioning and development layout of the Center, and shared Hefei’s vision of building itself into a "China Sky City". He noted that the Center is steadily advancing the construction of low-altitude safety management and control systems and flight service platforms. Hefei University of Technology’s research strengths in the low-altitude economy have laid a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. Both sides intend to jointly promote the launch of university-local joint platforms and tackle major scientific and technological projects.

At the meeting, representatives from EHANG Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) and Sichuan Tengden Technology respectively introduced their technological achievements and application progress in low-altitude security, intelligent general aviation and other fields. Universities and enterprises conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation directions for the low-altitude economy, and reached consensus on co-building innovation platforms, jointly tackling scientific and technological projects, and joint talent training. Both sides agreed to align scientific research achievements precisely with industrial demands, and jointly boost the high-quality development of Hefei’s low-altitude economy.

Person-in-charges of relevant departments of the Center and Guoxian Holding Company, as well as leaders and faculty representatives from the School of Future Technology Innovation of the university, attended the forum.
